If you plan to host a small Super Bowl Party Keep reading, I’ll be breaking down how to do this on a budget with minimal effort but an amazing party.
READY, SET, HUT!
Guest List
Decide on your guest list, and be okay with people not wanting to attend, some people enjoy watching the game at home and also be okay with people leaving at halftime to possibly make it to another event. Invite people who you don’t mind spending hours with on the couch. Send out the text at the top of the week so people can plan accordingly.
Food and Snacks
Food is an important aspect of football, you can keep it simple and still have your guests completely satisfied. Some options below are minimum cooking or ordering but enough to keep everyone happy and full. Pick and choose from the list below or you could always order out completely and have it delivered for less work.
Finger Foods: Think sliders (burgers, buffalo chicken), wings (buffalo, jerk, BBQ, lemon pepper), nachos, eggrolls, meatballs, and deviled eggs.
Dips: Crab Dip, buffalo chicken dip, spinach artichoke dip, and classic salsa and chips are always big hits.
Pizza: This is probably the easiest way to go simple yet filling.
Salad: You can make a classic garden salad, with two to three options for dressing, a simple pasta salad, or go a little further and make a seafood salad that’s always a hit.
Desserts: Super Bowl-themed cookies or cupcakes with the team colors or football shapes. Sam’s Clubs or your local grocery store should have them on sale. Grab a pack and call it a day.
Drinks
What’s a party without a signature drink?
Signature Cocktail: Create a fun drink like "Touchdown Tea" or “Touchdown Punch” - This can be any signature drink you like; check Google the options are endless. Have a beer option and wine option, too.
Non-Alcoholic: You could make fun mocktails like a "Game Day Lemonade" or "Super Bowl Punch" for anyone who isn’t drinking alcohol.
Water: Water is always an inexpensive option that everyone tends to want when you're not thinking about it.
Ice: This is a necessity that always seems to be forgotten on game day.
Decorations
Team Colors: Depending on who you're rooting for, decorate with team colors using balloons, tablecloths, napkins, etc.
Football Vibes: Throw down a football-themed table runner and just use whatever you have. If you want football decor on a budget check out the dollar tree, they have table runners, plates, cups, etc. You can also purchase this football party set from Amazon.
Comfortable Seating
Make sure there’s enough comfy seating for everyone to get cozy and watch the game without craning their necks. If you don’t have enough seating, throw in a few extra cushions, lawn chairs, or bean bags.

10 Things To Do Before The End Of The Year
The end of the year is near and while you’re focusing on making it through another year I have 10 things I’d like for you to do to help set yourself up for success for the rest of this year and to jumpstart your new year.
Important Documents -Locate and store away all your important documents (Passports, Birth Certificates, Social Security Cards) Put them in a place that is easy for you to locate so a panic attack does not happen every time you need a document. There are plenty of systems you can use to do this. The Folio Document Organizer is essentially, a file folder that has designated sections for your documents, a Docusafe a fireproof and waterproof 8-layer box to hold and store important documents and items, or an Accordion File Organizer, that has tabs to separate and label each section for document storage.
Tax Savings –Contribute to tax advantage accounts. You must make your final contributions to most workplace retirement plans, such as a 401(k) or 403(b) by December 31, 2024. Charitable Donations can be used for deductions and consider itemizing.
Utilize your earned time off -PTO, Vacation Days, and Sick days that won’t carry over. Don’t give away any time that you earned. Schedule the time off today or just call out. I’m an advocate for self-care, it’s your time so, use it.
Saving and Investing- Figure out how to hit your savings/ investing goals. In January I’m sure you made a savings goal whether that was for you to save $1,000 or $10,000. What do you need to do to make sure you hit that goal? Focus Groups, Instacart, Uber, Give Plasma, call the person you loaned money to 6 months ago, and do what you need to stick to the goal you set for yourself.
Plan and Set Goals- Develop goals and plan out how to execute them for 2025. All year there were things you said you would start in the New Year. Now is the time to put the thoughts on paper and figure out exactly how you’re going to execute them. Be sure to make a SMART Goal. Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound.
Unsubscribe and Delete- Delete all those unopened junk emails, and unsubscribe from the store emails. Go through your email inbox, and clear it out so 16,543 unread emails are not staring you in the face daily when you open your inbox. Take 10 minutes out of your day and unsubscribe to at least 10 places. (Keep me on your email list though lol).
Schedule Appointments- Make sure you have had all your necessary appointments for the year. Physical, Eye, Dental, Women's Health etc. There is still time; cancellation slots happen daily. Put it on the calendar so you can see and attend the appointments.
Declutter your space – Go through your closets, drawers, corner piles, and cabinets. The things you won’t wear, items that are new with tags that you're looking at like why did I buy this, the food you brought and never plan to cook. Get rid of it. Donate to your local shelter, pantry, or goodwill. But I want it out of your house before the 31st.
Update your Resume – The new skills you’ve developed this year, the training courses you’ve taken, the certifications you finished, the schooling you completed, and the language you’ve become fluent in, add all of that to your resume. You may never know when you’ll have to send it out.
Reflect and Celebrate Accomplishments – You've done a lot this year. Even if you just survived the year because life was lifing, I need you to celebrate that.
